How to Know Who Checked/Visited/Viewed Your Facebook Profile and Info

by Jaber Al Nahian | 1 Mar, 2011 | Facebook

As a Facebook user, it’s very natural of having the curiosity of knowing “who is visiting my Facebook profile”. Yes you can track who is removing or deleting you on Facebook or which ones are ignoring your friend requests or which friend requests are still unconfirmed/pending friend requests. But unfortunately you are not legally permitted to track who is checking your Facebook profile! Because it will violate Facebook’s policy.

Facebook profile visitor

At Facebook’s official help pages,  Facebook straightly tells that it’s not possible to track who is visiting your profile. So if any application is claiming or doing this job for you, it’s definitely breaking Facebook’s TOS!

What Facebook told about this issue?

Can I know who’s viewing my profile or how often it’s being viewed?

No, Facebook does not provide the ability to track who is viewing your profile, or parts of your profile, such as your photos. Applications by outside developers cannot provide this functionality, either. Applications that claim to give you this ability will be removed from Facebook for violating policy. You can report applications that provide untrustworthy experiences by clicking the “Report Application” at the bottom of the application’s About page, or by clicking “Report” at the bottom of any canvas page within the application.

Can others know when I view their profiles?

Facebook currently does not provide an application that allows users to track profile views or statistics on the views of any specific user content. Third party developers, however, may offer applications that provide some of this functionality. Please keep a few things in mind for these applications:
Applications CANNOT track profile visits for users who simply go to another person’s profile; Facebook has made this technically impossible.
In order to be tracked by an application, you will need to specifically agree to allow the application to track your actions.
Adding an application that provides this functionality is purely optional. If you do not want to participate, please do not add the application to your account.

So I think after reading above two messages, you are very clear with this issue.

I found some applications Which are Offering to Track Statistics of Who is Viewing My Profile! Does they real or fake?

Currently I also getting some sites and apps which are shouting that they can help use to know of someone’s visiting our profile. But I want to tell you that they are completely fake. Because Facebook have already said, “Applications CANNOT track profile visits for users who simply go to another person’s profile; Facebook has made this technically impossible”.

So why you are still trusting those applications. Application doing these are actually scams. They will attract you to use them and show you some false results. Actually they need huge visitors to make their other works done. These works may include “Getting Traffic”, “Hacking Accounts”, “Making money from ads” and more!

So if you are already a victim of those types of applications, please remove those apps from you account and make you Facebook life more pure.
