Iron Browser | A Modified Version of Chrome for Better Browsing Security, Privacy and Speed

If you are a google chrome user, you may already know that, google chrome tracks our all activity without knowing us. It’s very irritating side for google chrome lovers. But the good news is that, SRWare made an alternative browser named “Iron Browser” which is a modified version of Google chrome. What actually SRWare did? SRWare took the open source code of chromium project (Chrome is a open source browser of Chromium project) and used that code to make another user friendly version of chrome browser.

The big revolution is that, SRWare has removed the following function from chromium code : Client-ID, Timestamp, Suggest, Alternate Error Pages, Error Reporting, RLZ-Tracking, Google Updater, and URL-Tracker. These functions are used on main chrome to collect data about yourself and send to google. But the new Iron Browser is mad for privacy consciousness. So now you can enjoy all features and goodness of chrome by using iron without loosing privacy.

Chrome Vs Iron Browser in Sight of Privacy:

Problem Chrome Iron
Client-ID Depending on brand and version Chrome creates a unique ID through which a user can be theoretically identified. does not exist in Iron
Timestamp Depending on brand and version Chrome remembers up to the second exactly when the software was installed. does not exist in Iron
Suggest Depending on the configuration, each time you put something in the address line,this information is sent to Google to provide suggestions. does not exist in Iron
Alternate Error Pages Depending on the configuration, if you have typed a false address in the adress bar, this is sent to Google and you get an error message from Google’s servers. does not exist in Iron
Error Reporting Depending on the configuration, details about crashes or failures are sent Google’s servers. does not exist in Iron
RLZ-Tracking This Chrome-function transmits information in encoded form to Google, for example, when and where Chrome has been downloaded. does not exist in Iron
Google Updater Chrome installs a updater, which loads at every Windows in background. does not exist in Iron
URL-Tracker Calls depending on the configuration five seconds after launch the Google homepage opens in background does not exist in Iron

User-Agent The User-Agent in Chrome is only be changeable with parameters over a link or command, which isn’t really ideal for permanent usage. The User-Agent in Iron can be flexiblel and permanently changed by UA.ini.

Other important factors are, Iron browser has extended built-in features and also very fast than chrome. So the chrome lovers will get better environment at iron.
