As yahoo messenger is the most popular chatting client on windows to chat on yahoo network , it is also available for Ubunru Linux and ubuntu derivatibes. All you need to run you terminal. And have to do some simple jobs. Lets take a visit.
1. Firstly you have to install libssl0.9.6 with synaptic package manager or type the below code in your terminal.
sudo apt-get install libssl0.9.6
2. After installing libssl0.9.6 download yahoo messenger for debian based linux from here.
now open your terminal and write the code below
sudo dpkg -i /path/ymessenger_1.0.4_1_i386.deb
path: path is the directory where your yahoo messenger setup file is saved.
3. Now run your yahoo messenge from applications menu. If you don’t see yahoo messenger in application menu, go to /usr/bin/messenger . Then set up your account for chatting.
